作品整體設計是以工整的磚紅色方形塊體，結合位於中央具有豐 富色彩的自由造型體而成。深入探究造型的意義，位於中央的方形凹洞中，其多變的彩色實體在不鏽鋼材質的背景鏡面中所形成的虛像，成為空間中色塊的虛實對比；中央凹形方洞中以材質細緻的斷熱磚所呈 現的彩色塊體，又與外框的粗獷的正方形陶塊，產生質感上的明顯對應。整體而言，21 片方正陶土塊工整的排列，及方洞中塊體的多彩變幻，象徵自然大地的厚實與大地中豐富精彩的蘊藏。本作品是由 24 片圓角正方形陶片所構成，每塊陶片的正面造型，依藝術家的創意發想設計出不同的凹凸圖樣，這些圖樣並沒有事先設計規劃，而是在創作的過程中，靈光一閃所決定的圖形樣式。它是一個直覺的、随興的圖樣，也是常在日常生活中不經意會出現的圖樣，每個圖樣也不具有特定的意義，但感覺上是熟悉的、親切的，依據每 個人的成長經驗與記憶，看見這些符號也會產生不同的情感或感受， 同時也可讓觀賞者發揮自由想像的空間。
